A collection of 20 web2.0 startup companies have set up 3 day interview sessions in Boulder, CO. They will fly you in, all expenses paid trip for 3 days. That is an amazing idea.

 

I truly believe that recruiting talent is core to the success of any startup. In order to recruit the very very best, working for a startup should not portray an image of 3 dudes in a garage. The group in Boulder (i believe these guys come out of Techstars, an ideas stage funding program), are taking a step in the right direction by promoting themselves differently. The search for talent is not easy, I’m sure some of the guys ive interviewed would agree :)

It takes a special character to want to be a part of a startup, what with all the uncertainties ahead, both financially as well as personally. So i’m really inspired by the choices some of these guys have made.

    Thanks for the great write-up. We’re excited about bringing some great new talent to Boulder as well as giving people the chance to get out of their stuffy cubicles and go work somewhere that is fun, interesting and challenging.
